M80 Vertigo: no fear of heights
Thanks to the patented Top-Loading system, you can easily remove a guitar form the Vertigo without having to place the bag on the floor. Additionally, the Headlock Grip supports the neck of your guitar at a natural resting point so no strap or belt is required - quick and easy. The Boot is also noteworthy in that it literally looks like the sole of a hiking boot and offers excellent protection against vertical impacts. It's a serious design that you will enjoy using.
Optimal protection
The Mono M80 Vertigo is chock full of design elements that protect your acoustic steel-string guitar. The strap pin, for example, will never touch the ground in the case of a vertical fall. Its ABS panels offer the same protection as a hard case, at only a fraction of the weight! The reinforced housing of the M80 Vertigo disperses any shocks from a possible collision away from the vulnerable parts of your instrument. De Mono M80 Vertigo is een stevige gigbag die er goed afgewerkt uitziet. Alles straalt degelijkheid en kwaliteit uit. Stevige ritsen, nergens losse draadjes, handige details etc. Ik heb hem ongeveer een maand in gebruik, dus het is afwachten hoe de gigbag in de praktijk is. Maar de vooruitzichten zijn goed.
Ik heb voor deze versie (toploader) gekozen omdat ik in krappe oefenruimtes en podia speel waar vaak geen ruimte is om een koffer of gigbag op de grond te leggen. Voor die situaties is deze manier van gitaar in- en uitpakken ideaal. Ik gebruik hem voor een Taylor Grand Auditorium met een 16 inch lower bout, en dat past precies (ik heb het dreadnought model van Mono). De gitaar gaat er nog wat stroef in, maar ik vermoed dat dat te maken heeft met de nieuwigheid. Een ander voordeel ten opzichte van een koffer is dat deze gigbag veel lichter is (was voor mij de hoofdreden om hem aan te schaffen, de Taylor OHSC is loodzwaar). Daarnaast zit er op de voorkant een groot opbergvak, groot genoeg om een flinke map en wat klein spul in mee te nemen.
Als je overweegt deze gigbag te kopen vanwege de manier van in- en uitpakken, realiseer je dan dat je dat met een normale gigbag ook kunt. Eenvoudigweg een kwestie van de rits niet helemaal openen. Wat je dan niet hebt is die vette boot aan de onderkant (soort dikke schoenzool). Maar daarvoor in de plaats krijg je dan een gigbag die je wel plat neer kunt leggen. Ik ben tot nu toe blij met deze 'toploader', maar zou een volgende keer goed nadenken wat voor mij het beste zou zijn. Het is maar net hoe je de gigbag gaat gebruiken!
